Also called “Cervix Score”
It is a prelabor scoring system
Bishop Score is a standardized system used to evaluate and predict which women will successfully deliver with induction.
Why it is done
- To assist in predicting whether induction of labour will be required
Interpretation
- Score of 5 or Less : Labour is unlikely to start without induction (Induction is required)
- Score of 9 or More : Labour will start spontaneously
